Practise speaking German with AI — free

Beta

Have real spoken conversations in German with Sprich, your AI speech coach. Role-play everyday and exam situations at A1–B2, speak out loud, and get instant, personalised feedback. Deutsch sprechen üben — right in your browser, no download.

How it works

1. Pick a level & scenario

Choose A1–B2 and a real-life situation — or just free-chat. Sprich opens the conversation in German.

2. Speak out loud

Talk back using your microphone. Sprich transcribes you and replies in voice, staying in character at your level.

3. Get a coaching report

At the end you get personalised feedback: what you did well, fixes for grammar and word choice, and what to practise next.

Real-life scenarios to practise

Each scenario drops you into a real German conversation. Pick your exam level to see its scenarios.

Frequently asked questions

Is the German speaking practice free?
Yes to start — every account includes 2 free Speech Coach sessions with full feedback. Unlocking a level (one-time €4.99) makes Speech Coach unlimited for that level. It runs in your browser — no app or download.
How does the AI speaking practice work?
You pick a level (A1–B2) and a scenario, then speak out loud. Sprich, the AI speech coach, transcribes you, replies in spoken German, and gives you a coaching report at the end.
Which CEFR levels can I practise?
A1 (beginner), A2 (elementary), B1 (intermediate) and B2 (upper-intermediate). Each level has its own scenarios and the partner adjusts how challenging it is.
Do I need a microphone or any install?
Just a browser with a microphone. Speech recognition and the voice replies use built-in browser features — nothing to install.
What kind of conversations can I practise?
Everyday, exam-relevant situations: at the doctor, shopping, finding a flat, a job interview, complaints, small talk and more — plus a Just chat mode where you choose the topic.
What's the difference between Rehearse and Coach mode?
Rehearse role-plays the scenario like real life and gives you feedback at the end. Coach corrects each sentence as you go, then continues the conversation — better while you're still learning the basics of a topic.
